Review Policy

I am currently accepting book review requests!

I love to read stories by self-published authors as well as those attached to a publishing house. However, my TBR is about six months out, so I am being very picky with what I select. I prefer Mobi, Epub or a Kindle code but also review books on Audible. I do not get paid for reviews and do this in my spare time. Please consider leaving a donation below to keep my reading and reviewing!

My Review Scale:

I LOVED IT!

I liked it a lot!

I enjoyed the read as a whole, but parts or pieces were missing for me.

I thought it was okay.

Not for me, personally. This usually means I didn’t connect with the writing style or characters.

Anything below a 3 was just not for me - it doesn’t mean it wasn’t good - just not for me.

I will be honest with my reviews. However, I will only post reviews that score a 3 out of 5 or above as I strive to support those brave enough to put their thoughts and dreams out there in print.

My Book Review Preferences:

I only review fiction to include YA through adult fiction. Please do not submit children’s books for review. The only genre of non-fiction I delve into is true crime. I also don’t read poetry.

Here are some of my most-read genres: (if you happen to have a combination of two of these genres- even better!)

Historical Fiction (especially with a strong female lead or with a romantic element)
Thriller/Mystery/True Crime/Cop Dramas
Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Magical Realism
Literary Fiction

I will not read: erotica, stories about incest, animal murder, or anything discriminatory

Submission Requirements:

Please send me the title, genre, word count, and a short synopsis of your novel (I am more likely to pick your novel if you tell me how it relates to my favorites, my own stories, or other books I have reviewed.

Please also include a link to your Goodreads, website, and/or Amazon link. Let me know if you have a social media presence!

If I choose your book to review, I will contact you on how to get me your novel. I will accept e-versions or Audible codes. I will also need a high-resolution image of your book cover.

Reviews will be posted on my blog, Goodreads, BookBub, and submitted to Amazon (though not guaranteed to post), and social media to include Facebook, X (Twitter), Pinterest, and Instagram. I will also send an author interview form if you wish for readers to get to know you a little bit better.
