Book Title: Every Silent Thing

Released:  09/21/23

Genre:  Adult Thriller

Interview by Heather L. Barksdale

What inspired you to write “Every Silent Thing”?

Brenham: Having hearing issues, I wanted to craft a deaf protagonist and model her and her sister after my identical twin nieces.

How did you come up with the names of your main characters?

Brenham: Claire is my mother’s and sister’s middle name; Megan was derived from a character in a mystery movie.

If "Every Silent Thing" was adapted into a movie, who would you like to see cast to play your lead characters?

Brenham:    I would want Chloe Grace Moretz to do the roles of Claire Deveraux and Megan Deveraux; Steve Carell would play the banker father.

When you encounter writer’s block, what do you do to break yourself out of it?

Brenham: I take a break from writing, find some food to snack on, and ask my wife various questions relating to the story.

Are there any tips that you would like to share with other aspiring authors?

Brenham: Read a lot in their favorite genre and research their story plot.

What is your favorite genre, book, and/or author?

Brenham: My favorite author is Jeffery Deaver.

What are you working on next?

Brenham: My work in progress is the sequel to When Things Fall Apart.
