Book Title:  Hive

Released:  11/12/20

Genre:  Dystopian Scifi

Interview by Heather L. Barksdale

What inspired you to write “Hive”?

Ukponrefe: The idea popped in my head pretty randomly. I knew I wanted to do something sci-fi, but the idea came into my head that a group of soldiers would be chased by a Hive mind, and they use an emp to destroy its weaponry only to find out that one of their own is actually an android. This twist never ended up in the book.

How did you come up with the names of your main characters?

Ukponrefe: The character arcs have to do with certain archetypes, and the name of the character is correlated with a famous figure who plays into that archetype.
